Project of traditional Japanese stamp logo design

This is my recent work for a Japanese company in Niigata dedicated to promoting traditional local culture. For the design I tried presenting the traditional elements of Japanese culture, as well as the snowing vibe of Niigata prefecture.

Technically I combined traditional tools and Adobe Photoshop. I set focus on presenting the details of traditional stamp on Japanese paper including the ink gradation as well as the wooden texture. All elements were created based on my hand-drawing and Japanese Kanji calligraphy. I believe hand-making is the best to preserve great traditions.
