ABOUT MOON RABBIT AND THIS WORK
In Asia since the ancient time people believe that some rabbit are living on the moon. There is a tale about why the rabbit is on the moon. It is quite a long but interesting story. You can find it easily on web about the details.

For this work I tried Chinese ink and brush and painted on Japanese paper, presenting the “Moon Rabbit” with ink painting as well as brush calligraphy of Chinese character / Japanese Kanji “月見” (appreciating the moon).

Mid Autumn Festival is a time for family gathering in Asian culture. Here I painted 3 rabbits expressing a small family.
