Ink Painting of The Wolf, traditional media on Japanese paper
Recently I started new challenge of making ink paintings for some Japanese temples. The paintings cover sorts of themes including temple architecture, animal character which symbolizing some Japanese myths, as well as some mythical scenes.
Here let me share you one of my works, The Wolf. It is not simply a wolf but a character with mythological meaning In Japan, representing one of the "gods" of the mother nature. I tried applying some traditional ink painting skills and brushwork to express the atmosphere. Hope this work will be inspirational to you as well.
